first set lasted 4 years of constant use. replaced with these will hope for the same amount of time out of them.The product was good but I ordered the wrong size by mistake, attempting to order the replace it with the correct sizeShocked worked great.Long time Prime member, but I didn't realize Amazon sold this type of thing.Bought two replacement gas springs for a Murphy bed. When I removed the first of the older units it suddenly extended. It was off setting up to a couple hundred pounds of weight when pulling the bed back up against the wall.There was no way to compress the new or old units to fit back on the original fittings.I started an online chat with Bansbach reps who called to say I would have to apply 250 pounds of pressure per unit to compress them and put them back on. Then pointed out that would be difficult.That was it. So I'm stuck with a guest bedroom that we can't get the bed up any longer until I find someone to figure this out.
