Premium Cat Tree for Large Cats - Multi-Level Cat Climbing Tower with Scratching Posts & Perches - Perfect for Indoor Play & Exercise

My cats love this tree. The bottom platform is a little small, but my 11 pound little cat poured herself into it. If it was about two inches bigger in diameter it would be perfect. But it is very sturdy and looks cute. See the pics!This is our second "cat tree" of this type. While it is not huge .. it is well liked by our cats of varying weights. Usually one of them is the dominant one who gets the top tier .. usually my 14 pound gorgeous black short-hair. It is stable for the size of it's base and has never tipped over (or even seemed to threaten to tip over with two or more cats play fighting on it). Right now, our youngest little rescue kitty is on top and he is so content.I thought this cat tree was pretty nice looking in our living room and lends a slightly more elegant look than the average cat tower .. though many of them have more features that are fun for cats, this one is still a good purchase.Anyway, I (and they) liked it so much that I bought another one so we can have one in another room as well .Sharp edges, carpet coming off and completely missing in some areas. Dangerous for cats because it was full of sawdust and long carpet strings all over it. The beds were both very hard and uncomfortable so if the company is listening they might want to add a thin layer of furniture or carpet padding and a good quality carpet that is thicker. I am so disappointed in a product that proudly claims it is high quality when it clearly isn't.It was also poorly packaged with no protection but that was the least of its problems. Sawdust is a known carcinogen and this thing was covered in in it... took 20 minutes of vacuuming to get half the dust off I had plans to replace all my cat trees with this brand but now I will never buy again from New Cat Condos or Prestige again. Their website made their trees and towers sound superior but they are poorly made. This was a test run for this brand for me before investing $1000+ on new trees and towers.Going to return.Not so great in practice…Spin one piece into the other and voila! Or so the instructions say. I spent a half hour spinning the top part clockwise then trying counterclockwise just in case. I pushed down while turning it. I turned it slowly. I turned it so much the screw was hot from friction.So, I call the customer service number on the instruction sheet and it’s for chewy.com. They won’t help me because I didn’t buy it from them, I bought it from Amazon.Had to process a defective product return and now have to wait another 2 weeks to get the replacement which sucks cause I chucked my old one to make space for the new.I figured I’d spend more for quality. Yeah, would be great if it actually worked.I bought 2. They were easy to assemble. Only one complaint, the top shelf on the second one that I assembled is not level. It must be the fitting or screw was not correctly aligned in manufacturing. But, the design is so awesome & it doesn’t look bad , plus my cat likes it so I’m okay with that.And my dog likes it too!Easy to assemble and it is sturdy. My cats love it and use it everyday. I am thinking about a second tree for them.The ledge right below the top nest area doesn’t come out very far, so it can be hard for cats to jump from the ledge to the nest with ease. Great quality product, but not ideal for senior cats or kittens!
