I recently purchased Dexter the Digger as I had bought the similar garbage disposal truck. This is a toy very well made and durable. comes with 3 rocks which the child can pick up and maneuver. I ordered it for my 7 year old grandson who has had much fun with it although the recommended ages are 3 to 5. Still a lot of fun. The only thing I would caution, when revved on the floor is very noisy. Best played with outside or on a cement/concrete floor. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend it. Phyllis GrahamI purchased Dexter the Digger for my nephew, who is 2 years old. I heard from a friend that these WOW toys were alot of Fun but rather expensive. I hesitantly purchased one and decided if it wasn't as said then I would return it. I wrapped it up and gave it to my nephew(of course opening up the Box with great care so it can be returned) He was trying out all the parts moving the digger and just having a great time. My nephew as loveable as he is is not gentle with his toys. Needless to say I thought he would break this one in minutes. Well it is a week since I gave it to him and it is still his favorite toy and unbroken. The manufacturer even gives a 10 year warranty on it. This Toy has Wowed me over. I can't wait to buy more for him!My 3 year old really gets excited when he sees construction vehicles on the side of the road as we drive by so we figured this would be a hit and it more or less is.The attention span of a 3 year old boy is pretty limited but this is one that he comes back to fairly often.Only thing that I'm not in love with is how the front scoop is so flush with the ground that it has a real hard time being used on uneven surfaces. Otherwise it's perfect for my son.Boys and diggers, must be in the genes. We looked at many diggers at the store and he wanted this specific one. So, once again Amazon had the best pricing and we awaited it's arrival. Digger Dan (the operator) and Dexter the digger have been a daily center of attention for my son. When we are away from home and the digger doesn't accompany us, it is the first thing that he has to see when we return. Yes it's a bit pricey and there are a couple areas where fingers need to avoid, but WOW, what a lot of fun to be had.Love this toy! My grandson is only two, so of course, he can be a little rough with his toys sometimes, but this little digger sure holds up. He loves pushing the button to open the engine compartment and the digging motion is easy for him to handle. His only request was "more rocks". He loves it and plays with this toy more than any of his others. My only problem is figuring out which WOW toy to get him next.I'll be honest, I enjoy this too. There is a lot to be said for a toy that can keep a toddlers attention and not require batteries. It is well built and seems to be able to hold up to abuse pretty well. We have destructive boys and it is able to hold it's own with boy #1 and boy #2. One more boy to go...I think it will hold up fine - it's made it this far.We discovered WOW toys at a local mom and pop toy shop and my daughter is obsessed. We got Dexter the Digger as a first birthday gift for a friend's son and she said it's one of his favorite toys. I would highly suggest Dexter the Digger or any WOW toy.I bought his digger as a gift for a two-year-old who loves constructions vehicles. I do not care for the little guy that comes with it, but the digger itself is large and the arm is easy to operate to pick up the boulders, which rattle by the way.
