Not sure what makes this a “girls” rash guard but my son wears it and it works great for sun protectionI was nervous that I should size up after reading reviews. I ordered my son 18 month and it fits him perfectly, not too tight and not too short. I haven’t used it in the sun yet, we’ll use it on vacation next month.Love this brand! Never a disappointment!! This shirt fits great. Easy to take on and off. My daughter is 18 months, i ordered 24 month...it is bigger on her but I wanted it that way so she can wear more than a few times... and it still fits good and works great! RECOMMENDWe recently enrolled our six month old into swim lessons at the local rec center where the pool temp is 84 degrees. The swim lessons coordinator recommended at least a rashguard type bathing suit to help keep the baby warm. Knowing that my baby hates to be cold and would scream through the entire lesson if she were, I decided that she needed more than a rashguard. I looked at wetsuits on amazon for babies but they were too confining looking - I wanted her to be able to move her arms and legs freely in the lessons. I ended up getting a "Warm Belly" wetsuit swimsuit for her (not available on amazon - see [...], which is absolutely perfect except for that she's got sensitive skin and I was afraid of chafing from the wetsuit. So I ended up needing the rashguard after all! I purchased this little rashguard to go with it and it's perfect! It fits great! My baby is a bit tall for her age (6 months/27 inches long) but the shirt goes right down to the swim diaper. She's cozy warm and comfortable during her lessons.I knew that these ran small so I bought a bigger size! So just know that you will want to buy the size you kid will end up in by the END of summer not the beginning! But they work GREAT!!!!!!! I don’t like using a ton of sunscreen! And I don’t like my daughter wearing Bikinis I think it’s weird! But that’s just me and my opinion! So I got this and a really cute ruffle swim diaper and it looked super cute!!Cute top. The colors are vibrant. Only gave three stars because it's incredibly short in the torso. And yet very wide! Also the neck hole is VERY small and not stretchy so putting it on is difficult. Will keep it since it matches the swim diaper I got but not overly loving the product.Exactly as described.
